Area golfers compete in Brandon
BRANDON -- Sydney Bormann, of Parkston, took home first place in the girls 16-18 division with a score of 71 in the First Dakota National Bank Junior Tour event Monday in Brandon.
Sydney Weber, of Parkston, finished in fourth place with a 79 behind Bormann, while Niki Nelson, of Geddes, carded a 88.
In the boys 16-18 division, Jacob Rice, of Mitchell, shot a 77, while Garret Hohn, of Parkston, and Landon Pooley, of Mitchell, scored a 78 and 81, respectively. Springfield's Tyler Kaul finished with a 89.
Alec Johnson, of Tyndall, finished in second place in the boys 14-15 division by shooting a 74. Jacob Lee, of Parkston, shot an 84 and Brayden Edwards, of Freeman, finished with a 113.
Taylee Indahl, of Burke, earned a first-place finish with a score of 95 in the girls 12-13 division. Ethan Huber, of Mitchell, took fourth place in the boys 12-13 division after carding an 81.
In the boys 11-under division Payton Koehn, of Parkston, finished in third place with a 46 and Brody Boltjes, of Platte, carded a 53. Quinn Bormann, of Parkston, shot a 61 and Caleb Kinzley, of Salem, finished with a 66.
