SIOUX FALLS -- Two area farm couples are participating in a unique event on Monday in Sioux Falls.
At the second annual Pork Crawl, Lewis and Charlene Bainbridge, of Ethan; and Barney and Gail Roling, of Salem, will be dining with restaurant customers. The event is a progressive dinner where 50 participants will enjoy a pork appetizer, entrée and dessert at downtown restaurants Crawford's, Bros Brasserie Americano and Minerva's.
Throughout the evening, the Bainbridges, the Rolings and other hog farmers will be mingling with guests and answering questions about their family farms and today's agriculture. The chefs preparing the meal will also provide guests with background information on how each dish was prepared.
