Aberdeen teacher faces April trial in ND on sex charge

PARK RIVER, N.D. (AP) — An April 2 trial date has been set for a teacher in the northeastern North Dakota town of Park River who is accused of twice having sex with a 16-year-old girl.

KNOX radio reports that 25-year-old fifth-grade teacher Justin Kiefer has pleaded not guilty to two counts of corrupting a minor last November. He could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

Kiefer also is a girls hockey coach. The school district placed him on administrative leave.

Court documents list Kiefer's address as Aberdeen.
