Aberdeen man gets 50 years in prison for robbery
ABERDEEN (AP) — An Aberdeen man who used a foot-long knife to rob a truck stop convenience store earlier this year has been sent to prison — for the eighth time in his life.
The American News reports (http://bit.ly/19OXowu ) that 31-year-old Travis Atchley pleaded guilty earlier to robbing the Gas Stop in January, and was sentenced this week to 50 years in prison.
Prosecutor Chris White says Atchley's criminal history began when he was 12 years old. He says Atchley's past crimes range from drug manufacturing to mail theft.
