7 from South Dakota injured in Colorado crash
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) — Authorities say five young students and two adults from South Dakota have been injured in a crash on Interstate 25 in northern Colorado.
The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports the seven were in an SUV that hit ice, drifted into the median and rolled Monday about 16 miles south of the Wyoming border.
The victims' names and hometowns haven't been released. They were taken to hospitals in Fort Collins and Loveland.
Officials say the children appeared to be the age of middle school students.
The state patrol says alcohol and drugs aren't considered to be contributing factors in the crash.
