The service on Wednesday announced fee increases for tours at Jewel Cave National Monument and Wind Cave National Park.

Rates for Jewel Cave's scenic and historic lantern tours will increase from $8 to $12 for adults and from $4 to $8 for children ages 6-16. The wild caving tour will cost $31, up from $27.

Various tours at Wind Cave will see fee hikes. The natural entrance, fairgrounds, and candlelight tours will increase from $9 to $12 for adults and from $4.50 to $6 for children ages 6-16.

Park Superintendent Vidal Davila says the fees fund facility upgrades. He says the increases were discussed at public meetings.
