MICROBURSTS DAMAGE BUILDINGS: Last Friday, residents of Burke woke up to toppled lawn furniture and calf shelters, and damaged buildings. A farmer residing north of Lucas reported a heavy shed door had been flipped on top of the building's roof. There was also severe structural damage to the roof of the shed. Though no residents reported hearing wind, it is believed that microbursts, a localized column of sinking air within a thunderstorm, may be the culprit.
